Air traffic controllers issued a desperate plea to lawmakers to end the government shutdown, as thousands of workers continue without paychecks.

The federal shutdown entered its fourth week Tuesday, bringing the first missed paycheck for air traffic controllers and triggering delays at airports including Atlanta.

“Almost every controller can’t make it without two paychecks. And so I think the message is clear,” Duffy told reporters. “Open up the government. End the shutdown.”
